Community Synergy

Our hope is to establish strong connections and collaborations between Custer Road UMC and interfaith, city, and county organizations to build a unified partnership framework that promotes equity, addresses deep-rooted social issues, and supports our community by helping them know the love of Jesus.
Now through August 31, we’re raising $20,000 to support local mission partners. Every gift makes a difference—join us in making an impact by giving today!
We accept cash, check, or credit card.
Please note the mission you wish to support in the memo line of your envelope/check, or the comment box when prompted online.
Local School Partnerships
Head Start is a federally funded program that supports preschool children from low-income families. It provides a full range of services—including education, health and dental care, nutrition, and family support—to help children thrive and families succeed.

The School-Age Parent Program supports expectant and parenting teens with the resources they need to stay in school, graduate, and build a bright future. Students receive practical help and emotional support from pregnancy through parenting, so they can thrive both as students and as parents.
Email Rhonda Dye with any questions.
Mentor a Student. Make a Difference.
Custer Road UMC partners with Christie and Thomas Elementary Schools to support student success through mentoring. These Title 1 schools focus on helping students overcome barriers to learning—and mentoring is a key part of that.
We’re working to recruit 100 CRUMC mentors! No special training is needed—just a willingness to invest 30–60 minutes a week to build a caring, consistent relationship by reading together or helping with schoolwork. You can make a lasting impact in a child’s life.

Blessing Our Local Teachers & Staff
Each year, we provide meals to staff at our partner schools—once at the start of the school year and again during Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s a simple but meaningful way to show love and support for those who pour into the lives of our children every day
2025-2026 information coming soon!
Each Christmas, we provide gifts for our partner schools’ families in need. It’s a meaningful way to share hope and remind families they are seen, loved, and not alone during the holiday season.
2025 information coming soon!
