A Note From Pastor Kory
As the weather begins to cool and we approach this season of thanksgiving, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we have taken together in growing our spiritual family. Today, I write to you with a heart full of hope and a vision for the future of our church.
Over the years, we have seen God’s hand at work in our midst. We have celebrated victories, endured challenges, and witnessed countless blessings. As we reflect upon our shared journey, we are reminded our church is not just a physical building, but a living testament to the power of faith, love, and commitment to Christ.
This brings me to an important and exciting opportunity that lies before us – our Annual Stewardship Campaign. Our church relies on the faithful stewardship of its members to continue its mission and ministry. I believe that now, more than ever, is the time for us to come together and invest in God’s greatness by giving generously to support the growth of our church and beyond!
This year’s campaign “Give Big” is a call to action. It’s a call to invest in our church’s future, to provide the resources necessary for us to continue being a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth for generations to come. It’s a call to step forward in faith and make a tangible commitment to the mission of our church – helping people know the love of Jesus. I ask that you prayerfully consider
how you will contribute to this campaign.
2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us, “Each one must give as they
have decided in their heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” As such, let us embrace this campaign with joy and anticipation, knowing that our combined efforts will yield great results for the kingdom and bless countless lives. Together, we can do infinitely more than we can do alone.

An Approach to Giving
BEGIN WITH PRAYER
Thank God for your blessings and ask for guidance and discernment.
ASSESS YOUR INCOME AND GIVING
Determine your current giving as a percentage of your income using the Step Up to Giving chart.
SET YOUR GIVING GOAL
If you are not currently tithing (giving 10% of your income), start with a lower percentage and then plan to increase the percentage each year, growing toward a tithe. The important thing is to begin the spiritual discipline of regular, consistent giving.
DETERMINE YOUR GIVING METHOD
Take a look at the ways to give and select the option that is best for you and the church.
WORSHIP WITH ABUNDANCE
Fill out your 2024 pledge card and return it in worship on October 22. As a congregation, we will express our gratitude to God and present our cards, representing our commitment to God’s ministry through our church.
Ways to Give
2023 giving can be accomplished any time, prior to Sunday , December 31, in one of the following ways.
2024 giving can be accomplished by filling fill out the pledge card (in the downloadable materials section below), and turning it in to the church on Sunday October 22.
IN PERSON
Place gifts in the offering plate during worship, leave gifts in the offering boxes, or drop gifts off at the church office during the week.
ONLINE
Give Online HERE where you will be prompted to choose your giving method and complete your transaction online.
ENDOWMENT
Request information HERE on Custer Road UMC’s Permanent Endowment and/or how to provide for the church in your estate.
Step Up to Giving
STEP 1
Commit to increasing your giving by 1% to 3% of your income, as you move toward the goal tithing 10%. Then fill out and return your 2024 Pledge Card.
STEP 2
If you are not regularly giving to Custer Road UMC, make a commitment to giving at least $5 per week ($20 per month) and return a 2024 pledge card.
STEP 3
If you are currently tithing 10% of your income, thank you for your faithfulness! Please return your 2024 pledge card and prayerfully consider increasing your gift to help Custer Road UMC pursue the opportunities before us.
