The Gospel of of Matthew – Matthew is the first book of the New Testament and was written primarily for a Jewish audience. It presents Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah, the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, and the true teacher and Lord. Matthew emphasizes the Kingdom of Heaven, discipleship and living faithfully as followers of Christ.
