Exciting Update: Parenting Conference Moved to Sunday Evening! We are thrilled to announce a change to our upcoming Parenting Conference, designed with your needs in mind! After listening to valuable feedback from parents, we’ve decided to move the event from an all-day Saturday format to a more convenient Sunday evening session.Our hope is to make this event more convenient for you to attend and engage with our guest speakers: Kim Myers, author of Parenting with Perspective, and Taryn Mau, marriage and family therapist.Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 6, 5-7:30pm, and get ready for an enriching experience! Children who attend Gospel Gang, and are also signed up for childcare, will be safely escorted to their appropriate rooms for dinner, crafts and activities so you are better able to enjoy the seminar without interruption.
Rev. Kim Meyers, a Senior Associate Pastor at St. Andrew Methodist Church, has a Master of Arts in Ministry from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Deaf Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She has a background in Family and Children’s ministry and is a former Middle and Elementary school public school teacher.
Kim is passionate about inspiring groups to be the best they can be. Her communication style is comfortable and also motivational. She is an expert in her field and a deeply faithful person with an optimistic outlook on life. Kim loves to inspire groups through the challenging tasks of life, while keeping it real! Her message is that you have the skills and are fully capable and equipped for the task. Kim strives to give groups hope along the journey through perspective.
Taryn Mau, a Marriage and Family Therapist, loves helping her clients grow through individual, couples, or family counseling. Relationships are at the center of who we are, she prioritizes helping you grow in your relationship with yourself and those around you.
