Youth Week is for students who have completed 5th-12th grade in the 2025-26 school year.

MIDDLE SCHOOL Mission Trip
Middle School FAQs
- June 7-13 (Sunday to Saturday)
- May 17th – Registration closes!
- May 17th @7:30pm – Middle School Mission Trip Parent Meeting (REQUIRED)
- San Antonio, Texas!
- We take 15-passenger vans. Our adult chaperones are required to be approved drivers with the church.
- We will stay at a local church in San Antonio.
- Boys and girls will sleep in separate rooms. Each student needs to bring a twin-sized air mattress to sleep on and a mattress inflator.
- We will wake up, eat breakfast, and make our lunches for the day. Students are split into teams, mixed grades and genders, with two adults per team. The teams will go out to different worksites from morning until early afternoon. After the workday, they will take showers and have some free time until dinner. After dinner, they will have small group time with their team, discuss the Bible topic that night, and debrief the day. After this, we worship together and listen to a Bible message. Then, we go to bed and do it all over again the next day!
- Yes! On Friday, we will do a fun activity in San Antonio. More info to come!
- Sunday – Travel Day
- Monday- Thursday – Work Days (We have fun things planned too!)
- Friday – Fun Day!!
- Saturday – Travel Day
- We will have a mandatory packing meeting on May 17th at 7:30 pm. (Immediately following Sunday Evening programming)
- During this meeting, you will receive the packing list, important information, and a Covenant that must be signed.
- Essentials to buy now – a twin-sized air mattress, bedding (and/or sleeping bag), and a suitcase.
- Parents and Investors (volunteers) chaperone this trip! We have a good mix of young adults and parents who hang out with our middle schoolers and lead them in Bible and life discussions throughout the week. We also have two Student Ministry staff who go and get visits from pastors during the week!
- We would love for you to chaperone this trip! We do require that every adult that volunteers with us complete a background check, Ministry Safe training, and an Investor Training. This is not long or burdensome- it keeps both our volunteers and students safe!

HIGH SCHOOL - Mission Trip
High School FAQs
- July 11-18 (Saturday to Saturday)
- June 14th – Registration closes!
- June 28th @5pm – Crossville Packing Meeting (REQUIRED! – if there is NO way you can make this date work, you must set up a meeting with Kelly Mariott, our Director of Student Ministry). In this meeting, we will cover important details like:
- Tent requests & Rafting requests (this is when you can request who you tent and raft with)
- Packing tips are shared
- Details of the trip are shared
- July 10th – Packing Day! (REQUIRED)
- Bring your bins, cots, and camp chair to the church to get loaded on the truck. This is when you will get your mission trip t-shirt to wear the next day.
- We are going to Crossville, TN. This will be our 37th year going.
- We take 15-passenger vans. Our adult chaperones are required to be approved drivers with the church.
- Crossville is an under-resourced community that our student ministry has poured into for 37 years. We have built lifelong relationships that now span multiple generations.
- On our way there, we spend Saturday night at First UMC Lexington outside of Memphis, TN. Sunday night through Thursday night, we stay at Ballyhoo Family Campground. Friday night, we stay at Collierville UMC outside of Memphis, TN.
- At churches, we sleep in the gym with girls/women on one half of the room and boys/men on the other on cots for the quick one-night stays at churches.
- At Ballyhoo, students sleep in tents by gender, with 4 students per tent.
- In the morning, we have breakfast at the campsite and get supplies ready for the day. We load up and head to the state park, where we put on a VBS-type camp (Camp CRUMY) for the kids in Crossville. Vans go to the local neighborhoods and pick up kids for camp and bring them back to the state park. Kids and CRStudents are in family groups together and rotate to different stations. In the afternoon, kids are dropped back off at home and we load up and head back to our campsite. Our students have downtime until dinner is cooked at camp. We move into family group time and discuss the Bible topic that night and debrief the day. After this, we worship under the BIG tent in our camp chairs and listen to a Bible message. We go to bed and do it all over again the next day!
- Yes!! Every year, we go white water rafting on the Ocoee River before we head back to Texas.
- Saturday – Travel Day
- Sunday – Travel & Arrive in Crossville/ Set up Camp
- Monday-Thursday – Camp CRUMY! (Our VBS camp for Crossville kids)
- Friday – White Water Rafting & Travel Day
- Saturday – Travel Day & Arrive back at CRUMC
- We will have a packing meeting on June 28 that will give details of what to bring.
- Do I need to bring a tent? NO, we provide tents.
- ESSENTIALS TO BUY NOW – A cot with round legs at the bottom so they don’t rip our tents. A 30-gallon tub (do not bring a tub bigger than this) that is their suitcase for the week. A camp chair – this will be used for seating during worship, meals, and downtime.
- Our Investors (volunteers who work with our Student Ministry year-round) chaperone this trip! We also bring multiple pastors and staff.
- We require that every adult who volunteers with us complete a background check, Ministry Safe training, and an Investor Training. This keeps both our volunteers and students safe!
- We want you to get to experience this trip with your kids. We have a few requirements and things to understand in order to be able to go. You need to be regularly serving as an Investor as a Sunday School Teacher or Small Group Leader, OR serving dinner often on Sunday nights. We want you to be invested in our students’ lives, have experience leading students, and for the students to know who you are.
- We have a limited number of adults that we take on this trip. We cannot take everyone who has a desire to go because adults would outnumber our students on the trip. Even if you volunteer as an investor, this does not guarantee a spot as a chaperone for Crossville. We wish we could take all of you, and we will do our best to give you the opportunity. For this year, our adult chaperone list is finalized.
