The Summer Lunch Program is Back!
We’re excited to kick off another summer of food, fun, and fellowship!
Location: Christie Elementary School, Plano ISD, will provide meals for children, while Custer Road UMC will serve lunch for adults, along with ice-cold water, popsicles, weekend food bags, and plenty of summer fun with table-top activities, games, and books!
Dates: June 1-26, 2026
Days: Monday – Friday
Time: 11:45 am – 1:00 pm

We are excited to partner with PISD/Christie Elementary again this summer! Working together to provide meals for families throughout the week is such a blessing!

How can you help?
Volunteer Opportunities:
Monday – Friday
Assist students in the Plano ISD cafeteria line and help them find a seat. Hand out popsicles after meals. Serve lunch and ice-cold water to adults. Facilitate table tap games and fun! Serve popsicles, waters, and weekend snack bags
Volunteer Adults and Youth 13+ are needed daily.
8–10 volunteers are needed Monday – Thursday.
20 volunteers are needed on Fridays.
Volunteer Sign-Up Process:
If signing up more than one person, or bringing youth 13+ to help, please check the number of people in the drop-down menu and list the names of the additional volunteers in the comments section.
If you are bringing any children under 12, please list their names and ages in the comments section.
If you are 18+ years old, you MUST have a background check.
Requirements To Serve:
Volunteers 18+ must have a CURRENT Custer Road UMC background check. Click on the Volunteer Sign-Up here. You will then see a link to the background check on the page.
Upon completion and confirmation, you are all set to pick a day and time or as many as you can commit to throughout the summer.

Please also go to the Sign-Up Genius and remove your name so the spot is available for another person to fill.
