Custer Road United Methodist Church is excited to announce our next international travel opportunity: “Our Wesley Heritage – A Visit to England.”

This inspiring journey invites travelers to walk in the footsteps of John and Charles Wesley while exploring the places that shaped the early Methodist movement. Along the way, you’ll experience England’s rich history, beautiful countryside, and historic churches while gaining a deeper appreciation for the legacy that continues to inspire Christians around the world today.

Pastor Kory Knott and Pastor Tim Morrison will provide meaningful study and reflection throughout the trip. As an added bonus, Pastor Tim is exploring the possibility of the Chancel Choir presenting concerts along the way.

Trip Details

This meaningful journey through England explores the historic locations connected to the life and ministry of John and Charles Wesley and the growth of the Methodist movement.

Throughout the trip you will visit historic churches, preaching sites, and towns where the Wesley brothers lived and ministered. These locations bring history and faith together in a powerful and memorable way.

Highlights include visits to:

  • Wesley’s Chapel and the Leysian Mission in London

  • John Wesley’s house and tomb

  • The Museum of Methodism

  • St. Paul’s Cathedral

  • The site of John Wesley’s conversion

  • St. Luke’s Parish Church

  • Windsor Castle and St. George’s Chapel

  • Stonehenge

  • Gloucester Cathedral

  • Oxford’s Christ Church College

  • Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare

  • Epworth’s Old Rectory, where the Wesley brothers grew up

  • Lincoln Cathedral

Along the way you’ll also experience the beauty of England’s countryside, historic towns, and centuries-old traditions.

England: $5,495 + airfare 

Scotland: $3,360 + airfare
